Seasonal color is one of our specialties. Not only do we produce some of the most creative flower combinations, but our flowers plantings are some of the healthiest due to our carefully designed installation and maintenance programs.
Summer seasonal color is one of the most impactful parts of a landscape program. It is also one of the most expensive, however, and can be tricky to manage and keep looking good throughout the season. In addition, it's one of the most opportunistic areas for creativity on an annual basis. We have our flowers custom grown and have developed what we feel is the most unique and creative combinations in the local market. We work with our grower to evaluate new varieties and combinations, and use our office landscape in Hillsboro as our "test bed" to ensure that these new varieties perform well throughout the year before using them on a customer's property. The varieties of summer flowers are continuing to grow and develop, and we work tirelessly through research and operational focus, to provide unique and consistent programs for customers.
Summer flowers fade going into fall and we plant pansies for winter seasonal color. Pansies survive the winter cold and is the only "flower" that can span the fall/winter/spring season. However, winters can be tough on pansies due to all the rain and soggy soil conditions. Luckily, our pansy program, combining fresh soil addition and an aggressive fungicide program is very successful in protecting our plantings. These components of our program do increase the cost of pansies versus summer flowers, but we feel it is clearly worth it. In fact, we will not plant pansies without our complete program.
